Not my first visit, but one of the best! Our server was amazing! The atmosphere is casual with bright lighting, plenty of seating and parking. The food comes out fast. The shrimp & grits is super flavorful with grilled onions, bell pepper and perfectly poppin' shrimp - freaking delicious! And those fresh shucked raw oysters and hush puppies are HUGE!Paired with Landry's Blanc du Bois... c'est magnifique!ParkingFront, side and across the street
Buckets Crawfish and Seafood
About this place
Arrive at Buckets Crawfish and Seafood in Pineville and the first impression is practical warmth - a family-friendly room, an easygoing pace, and a sense that regulars already claimed their favorite seats.
Order with curiosity - start around pasta, then leave room for shrimp. Regulars often point newcomers toward the kitchen's daily strengths. Expect clean flavors from nearby waters when the board shows fish.
Practical note for first-timers: ask what is freshest that day and let the staff steer you. Weeknights usually run quieter than weekends. The listing address is 111 Maryhill Rd, Pineville, LA 71360.
Platefolk keeps Buckets Crawfish and Seafood on the map because it still feels like a Pineville table with a point of view - starting with pasta and ending with a reason to come back.
Before you visit, skim recent neighbor notes on the listing and confirm hours on the door. Platefolk keeps this page as a field guide, not a frozen brochure - the best proof is still sitting down for a meal.
What we value here is consistency: a kitchen that repeats its strengths, a room that does not treat guests like tickets, and a Buckets Crawfish and Seafood visit that still feels worth the trip across town. Bring curiosity, order something the staff recommends, and leave a short note afterward so the next diner arrives wiser.

Who came up with the concept of a self serve sauce and coleslaw bar? At first it sounded very unappealing, but after my experience, I thought the system at Buckets was genius. My family and I walked in as a big group. Although the restaurant was buzzing with costumers, we were taken care of right away. The tall ceilings in the woody dining room made everything feel open and bright. Most of my table ordered fried food, and they enjoyed everything. I got myself a side caesar salad, which was pretty big, and some baked fish. The piece was small but well seasoned. I obviously paired my meal with one too many samples from the sauce and coleslaw bar. All the interesting sauce combos I tried were delicious. Whoever came up with their recipes took "made with love" to another level!I'm sure that many of you are fed up with restaurants that forget your dips and sauces. Go to Buckets! They will not disappoint.
The front person was kind of rude but our server was above magnificent. She needs a raise. The food was as always amazing and you can’t beat the price. I love this place, minus the couple of employees that need some people skills.
Very delicious food and ice cold drinks. The waitress was very happy and helpful and made several recommendations and let us know the specials. The Monica sauce was delicious and the crawfish were very fresh. The pickle and slaw bar was a nice addition.
1st visit here and loved it. The Seafood Monica is a must-try. Our waitress was on top of her game. We really had a good experience and will definitely be back.
I'm in the area working at P&G plant, and a few guys and I stopped in for lunch.Staff was very friendly and helpful.. we ordered crawfish fingers, fried shrimp platters and boiled shrimp platter.Everything was seasoned perfectly, shrimp were big, not tiny with a ton of fries and the hush puppies were fresh, not a dry marble. LolAtmosphere was rustic and Cajun flare with lots of room and felt at home or a "camp vibe"GET U SOME!!U WONT BE DISAPPOINTED
Very pleased with these crawfish! Perfectly cooked, good size, great flavor and juicy!Folks who ate shrimp and grits were equally impressed. Shrimp were also perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the grits were cheesy and loaded with diced onions and sweet peppers to reduce the calories 😉
Went there today for a late lunch with my son. Instead of Being asked to be seated, I was only asked. Can I help you? That’s when I asked could I please have a table. We got set at a table that was in a corner and we were completely ignored by our server. She only took our drink in our food order. After which a bigger table came in with about eight people and they put tables together and we were sitting nearby. It was so tight and uncomfortable that we got to go boxes that made immediately after our food was set at the table. We asked for our check because there was no use and staying there. The waiter that waited on us she gave all of her attention to the big table. The food is not bad however I think this restaurant has a lot of pics and chooses and I guess they don’t choose people who look like me. This tip percentage over there is insane because it’s no way I’m paying 15% to a person who didn’t do anything, but take my order.
Best seafood around and the waitresses are usually great. The table we sat at was dirty but the hostess reluctantly cleaned it. They finally changed out the rusty buckets on the tables which is great. We usually go here 4-5 times a month. Highly recommended
